Funded places for 2 year olds
From April 2024, most 2 year olds are also eligible for funded early education.

Funded Early Education for all 3 and 4 year olds.
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled up to 15 hours of funded early education a week, for 38 weeks of the year.
In our setting, this means that you will be able to start claiming your child’s funded hours at the start of the term which follows your child’s 3rd birthday.
The 15 hours can be spread across 2 different Early Years Childcare providers allowing you to send your child to more than one setting, if you choose to.

30 Hours Funded Early Education for 3 and 4 year olds.
Some 3 and 4 year old Children are entitled to 30 hours of funded early education a week, for 38 weeks of the year.
In our setting, this means that you will be able to start claiming your allowance at the start of the term which follows your child’s 3rd birthday.
The 30 hours can be spread across 2 different Early Years Childcare providers allowing you to send your child to more than one setting, if you choose to.
